Michael Scarinci is a graduate of Sewanhaka High School and a life long resident of Franklin Square.  Michael was a four year starter for the Molloy College baseball team, graduating in 2002 with a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and a minor in History.  Following graduation, he continued his baseball career in Michigan, playing with the Kalamazoo Kings of the Frontier League as a middle infielder. 
 
Michael holds many Molloy College season and career records.  His career highlights include: first in runs scored (187), first in hits (223), first in triples (11), first in stolen bases (222), first in assists (539) and third in doubles (33).  Among his season achievements are the following: first in triples (7 in 2001), second in assists (156 in 2001), second and third in runs scored (62 in 2001 and 57 in 2002), third in hits (84 in 2001), fourth in batting average (.444 in 2001) and he holds the top four positions in stolen bases (63 in 2001; 57 in 2002; 55 in 2000; 47 in 1999).

Currently, Michael holds the NCAA Division II record for career stolen bases (222) and was second in stolen bases per game for two consecutive years (1.38 in 2000 and 1.27 in 1999).  In 2001 and 2002, Michael was the NYCAC Academic Player of the Year, selected to the Verizon Academic All-America team and the NCAA Division II Commissioners Association Regional Scholar-Athlete of the Year.
 
In the fall of 2002, Michael enrolled at St. John’s University to pursue a law degree.  He graduated cum laude in June of 2006 and was awarded the Michele G. Falkow Memorial Award in legal research and writing.  He is currently working as an Assistant Appellate Court Attorney at the Appellate Division, Second Judicial Department, located in Brooklyn, N.Y.
