Morris' arrival to Rockville Centre from Buffalo under a unique set of circumstances – he would be playing under his father, long-time assistant coach Pat Morris and rooming with Head Coach Charles Marquardt's son and fellow rookie, Charlie Marquardt. Although the standard of being a coach's son could be a lot of pressure for some to handle, Morris navigated his years at Molloy with purpose.

Starting 20 games as a freshman and playing under the tutelage of arguably the best player in Molloy men's basketball history, John Petrucelli, Morris averaged 6.9 points per game, shooting at just over 40 percent. Morris' numbers would skyrocket from there, shooting over 46 percent each of the next three seasons and averaging no less than 13 points per game, earning him postseason recognition from the East Coast Conference as a sophomore (Honorable Mention), junior (Third Team) and senior (First Team). In his time in a Lions' uniform, Morris also received regional recognition from the D2CCA as well as being named All-Region from the Metropolitan Basketball Writers Association on two occasions.

In total, Morris tallied 1,618 points, making him the program's sixth all-time scorer, and ranks in the top-10 all-time in points per game (14.2), made field goals (646), field goal percentage (.488), rebounds (641), rebounds per game (5.6), blocks (68), and blocks per game (0.6).His 18 made field goals against Mercy in the 2016-17 season and six blocks against Roberts Wesleyan in the 2015-16 season remain single-game records.

While Morris' collegiate career made a lasting impression on Molloy men's basketball, the spotlight he has put on Division II as a whole as a professional has arguably been even more impactful. Morris was selected by the Erie Bayhawks in the 2017 G-League Draft. Before the end of the season, he signed a 10-day contract with the Atlanta Hawks and became just the second player in East Coast Conference history to play in the NBA. In the past six years, Morris has continued his professional basketball career, playing in the NBA with the Hawks, the Milwaukee Bucks, and the San Antonio Spurs, averaging 11 minutes per game.

Recently, Morris co-founded D2HoopsToo, a media channel dedicated to amplifying the stories and successes of Division II basketball players and taking aim at the notion that Division I is the only way to reach the bright lights of professional basketball dreams.
