Eric Bennett graduated from Molloy College in 2001 with a bachelor's degree in Accounting and a minor in Economics. A graduate of Massapequa High School, Eric is only the second men's lacrosse player, to date, to be inducted in the Hall of Fame. He joins teammate, Timothy Murphy who was inducted in 2005.
Eric holds several Molloy College career and single season records including: tied for second in total points per season (77), third in career total points (134), third in career points per game (4.62), third in career assists per game (2.21), fourth in career goals per game (2.41), fourth in career assists (64), fourth in season points per game (5.5), fifth in career goals (70), fifth in season assists per game (2.86), sixth in season goals (37) and sixth in season goals per game (2.64).
Eric played two seasons for Molloy College after transferring from Nassau Community College. He was a member of the 2000 runner up team in the ECAC Division II Men's Lacrosse Championship.
Upon graduation, Eric joined PricewaterhouseCoopers, LLP as an accountant. For three years he was responsible for financial analysis and auditing of some of the largest public companies in the country. In 2004, he joined Cablevision Systems Corporation as a manager of Corporate Financial Reporting. He is charged with internal consolidated financial statements for senior management.
Eric is still active in sports playing golf and lacrosse. He has been an active supporter of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society participating in fundraisers and competing in a mini triathlon.
Eric married Meredith Carney Bennett in January 2012 and they have a beautiful one-year-old son, William Bennett. The Bennett family resides in Massapequa Park, N.Y., which is the town Eric and Meredith grew up in.
In addition, Eric has been promoted to Director of Business Planning for Enterprise Information Technology at Cablevision. His job responsibilities include: financial analysis, forecasting, and coordination of the year end budget process.
He continues to play lacrosse at the club level and has taken on running 5k races for charitable organizations.
