Maureen Golden Hance is a native of North Bellmore and attended Queen of the Holy Rosary High School. A four year starter on the women’s basketball team, Maureen was the quintessential student-athlete. She worked hard in the classroom and graduated in 1984 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics and a minor in Computer Science.
While in school Maureen led an active social life, graduated Suma Cum Laude with a 3.93 GPA and starred on the basketball team. During her four years at Molloy, Maureen was a leader on the court, in the classroom and with the student body. During her basketball career, Maureen scored over 1,000 points and pulled down over 1,000 rebounds.
Upon graduating from Molloy, Maureen was employed in the computer industry for many years. Maureen is married to Jim Hance and she is the mother of two children, Jennifer (14) and Brian (12). Currently, Maureen is emplyed by Dun and Bradstreet Corporation as a Product Manager within the Education Marketing division. She has continued her life-long commitment to public service.
Maureen still enjoys working out and is an avid swimmer who recently competed in a team relay race across the Long Island Sound to raise funds for cancer prevention and education funds in Fairfield County.
Currently, Maureen and her family reside in Trumbull, Connecticut.
