The East Coast Conference announced its weekly women's soccer awards Monday, with the Molloy women's soccer team sweeping the awards on the pitch and garnering two student athletes being named to the Weekly Honor Roll.
Senior Isabella Muro was named the ECC Offensive Player of the Week after totaling nine points on three goals and three assists during Molloy's 2-0 week. Against Goldey-Beacom on Wednesday, Muro recorded a goal and two assists before following with a career-high five points against Caldwell on Saturday, scoring twice and adding an assist. Muro finished the week with five shots on goal on nine attempts.
Senior Madison Keenan earned Defensive Player of the Week honors after playing all 180 minutes across Molloy's two victories. Keenan helped anchor a Lions defense that allowed just one goal during the week, including a shutout against Goldey-Beacom. The senior also scored her first goal of the season in the victory over Caldwell.
Senior goalkeeper Elyse Muñoz was named ECC Goalkeeper of the Week after making eight saves on nine shots faced. Muñoz recorded three saves in the shutout against Goldey-Beacom before making five saves against Caldwell.
Freshman Ysabelle Perillo rounded out Molloy's four weekly award winners by earning Rookie of the Week honors. Perillo recorded her first career brace against Goldey-Beacom before adding another goal against Caldwell. She finished the week with three goals and six points while putting all five of her shots on target.
Junior Bella Juliano earned a spot on the ECC Weekly Honor Roll after recording a career-high six points against Goldey-Beacom with two goals and two assists. Juliano totaled nine shots and six shots on goal in the contest before adding an assist against Caldwell to finish the week with seven points.
Junior Jana Strait also earned a spot on the Weekly Honor Roll after scoring in both of Molloy's victories. Strait finished the week with four points and recorded seven shots and three shots on goal against Caldwell.
