Southern Connecticut State:
  • The Owls enter the week 2-6 overall and 0-3 in Northeast-10 play.
  • Southern Connecticut went 0-2 last week, falling to Assumption, 5-0, Wednesday, September 25 and Franklin Pierce, 4-0, Saturday, September 28.
  • Keana Criscuolo tops the team with four points and two goals, while Trinidad Rodriguez Ricchiuti leads with three assists.
  • The two programs met last season with the Owls topping the Lions, 5-0, September 26, 2023.

Bentley:

  • Lida Coco (one goal and three assists) and Gracie Moore (two goals and one assist) top the team with five points each.
  • The two squads met last season in Waltham, Mass. With the Falcons topping the Lions, 5-0, September 30, 2023.
  • Molloy is 0-5 all-time against Bentley.

Regarding Molloy:
  • The Lions hold a 9-4 overall and record and are 1-0 in ECC play.
  • Molloy went 2-0 last week, defeating Pace, 3-2, Tuesday, September 24 and Roberts Wesleyan, 3-1, Saturday, September 28.
  • In the five-set thriller against Pace, graduate student Kiarra Roth led with 21 kills, junior Aria Miller totaled 14 digs and senior Julia Zalta collected 40 assists.
  • Against the Redhawks, the Lions picked up its first conference win of the season on the back of a career high 27 kills from Roth. 
New Haven:
  • The Chargers hold a 7-6 record entering the week.
  • New Haven went 3-1 last week, falling to Post, 3-1, Wednesday, September 25 before defeating Dominican, Bloomfield, and Holy Family, 3-0, Friday, September 27 and Saturday, September 28.
  • Grace Juergens leads the squad with 136 kills, Tori Borton has totaled 259 assists, and at the net Amber Williams has totaled 42 blocks.
  • The two teams met last season on October 19, 2023 in New Haven with the Chargers topping the Lions, 3-1.
  • Molloy is 2-18 all-time against New Haven.
D'Youville:
  • The Saints are 5-9 overall and 2-0 in East Coast Conference play.
  • D'Youville went 2-0 last week, defeating St. Thomas Aquinas, 3-0, Saturday, September 28 and Mercy, 3-1, Sunday, September 29.
  • Madeline O'Brien leads the squad with 134 kills, Mitha Hatwar has handed out 347 asssits, and Giselle Ramirez had made 39 blocks at the net.
  • The two teams met last season on November 4, 2023 with the Lions coming out on top, 3-0, November 4, 2023.
  • Molloy is 6-0 all-time against D'Youville.
Daemen:
  • The Wildcats hold a 9-3 overall record and are 2-0 in league play.
  • D'Youville went 2-0 last week, defeating Mercy, 3-1, Saturday, September 28 and St. Thomas Aquinas, 3-1, Sunday, September 29.
  • Giselle Giraud leads the squad with 149 kills, Avery Dole has totaled 332 assists, and at the net Amelia Armstrong has totaled 27 blocks.
  • The two teams met last season in the ECC Championship Final with the Wildcats claiming the crown, 3-0, November 18, 2023.
  • Molloy is 5-20 all-time against Daemen.

  • Molloy comes into October 3-4 overall and 1-0 in East Coast Conference competition.
  • The Lions went 0-1 last week, falling to Adelphi, 3-0, Tuesday, September 24.
Mercy:
  • The Mavericks are 4-0-2 overall and 2-0-1 in ECC play.
  • Mercy went 1-0 last week, defeating UDC, 5-1, Saturday, September 28.
  • Johannes Hanken Tjostheim leads the team with 22 points on the campaign totaling 10 goals.
  • In the matchup last season in Dobbs Ferry, the Mavericks bested the Lions 1-0, October 14, 2023.
  • Molloy is 8-12-3 all-time against Mercy.
Daemen:
  • The Wildcats hold a 3-2-2 overall record and are 0-1-1 in league play on the season.  
  • Daemen went 0-0-1 last week, playing to a scoreless draw with St. Thomas Aquinas Saturday, September 28.
  • Dennis Montero Guerrero (three goals) and Emmanuel Perez (two goals and two assists) leads the team with six points.
  • The Lions and Wildcats met last season in Western New York with the Lions coming out victorious, 2-1, October 7, 2023.
  • Molloy is 8-2 all-time against Daemen.

About Molloy:
  • The Lions are 2-4 overall and 1-0 in East Coast Conference play.
  • Molloy went 1-1 last week, falling to Franklin Pierce, 1-0, Tuesday, September 24, but responded with a 2-0 victory over Mercy, Saturday, September 28.
  • Against the Mavericks, freshman Jana Strait tallied two goals to propel the cardinal and white to the victory. 
Jefferson:
  • The Rams come into the week with a perfect 7-0 overall record and are 4-0 in CACC action.
  • Jefferson went 2-0 last week, topping Lincoln, 5-0, Wednesday, September 25 and Bridgeport, 2-1, Saturday, September 28.
  • Dillan Sorino paces the squad with 12 points, tallying four goals and four assists to lead the team.
  • The two programs met in the NCAA East Regional last season in Garden City with the Lions picking up a 1-0 victory.
  • Molloy is 8-14-3 all-time against Jefferson.
Daemen:
  • The Wildcats come into the week, 3-4 overall and 2-0 in ECC play.
  • Daemen went 2-0, topping Roberts Wesleyan, 5-2, Tuesday, September 24 and St. Thomas Aquinas, 3-0, Saturday, September 28.
  • Reigning ECC Player of the Year Kylie Miranto paces the team with 15 points (seven goals and one assist).
  • The two teams met in last year's ECC Championship Final with the Lions winning the crown, 2-0, November 12, 2023.
  • Molloy is 7-4 all-time against Daemen.

Concerning Molloy:
  • Molloy enters October 0-2 on the campaign.
  • The Lions hosted its inaugural home game against St. Thomas Aquinas last week, falling to the Spartans, 59-7.
  • In the contest, junior Paulie Drummond V connected with junior Peter von Schoenermarck for a 28-yard touchdown, the second time this season the duo has connected.
  • Defensively, freshmen Marquis Dixon and Max Kraemer tallied six tackles each.
Caldwell:
  • The Cougars opened its season Friday, September 20 falling to Chestnut Hill, 28-6.
  • Anthony Haines has tallied 106 yards passing with one touchdown on the season, while Curtis McDougald gained 21 yards in the running game.

About the Lions:
  • Molloy holds an 1-6 overall record and 0-2 in ECC play.
  • The Lions went 1-0 last week, defeating St. Joseph's Long Island, 6-1.
Cross Country
Saturday, October 5 at Paul Short Invitational – 9:30 a.m. – Bethlehem, Pa.
 
Regarding Molloy:
  • The Lions return to the course after competing at the Golden Eagle Invitational Saturday, September 21. The women's team placed first at the event and the men's squad placed second.
  • Junior Sabrina Spezia and sophomore Kathleen Healy once again finished back-to-back to lead the team with third and fourth-place. The pair ran times of 19:53.6 and 19:55.5, respectively. Freshman Carli Sheiffele and senior Megan Sohl came in eighth and ninth-place with times of 20:57.1 and 21:15.0, respectively. Junior Alaysia Cobb also finished in the top-15 for the Lions, placing 13th with a time of 21:33.7.
  • The men's team finished second in the 8k race, missing first by just one point, with a total time of 2:19.13. Leading the way for Molloy was sophomore Peter Bagattine, who came in fifth-place with a time of 26:48.2. The combination of seniors Aiden Watson (27:13.6) and Luke Jarski (27:21.6) rounded out the top-10, placing eighth and ninth, respectively.
