Four members of the cardinal and white were named All-Region by United Soccer coaches Thursday afternoon. Junior
Isabella Muro and sophomores
Jana Strait and
Meghan Wetzel were named to the Second Team and graduate student
Emma Beattie was tabbed to the Third Team.
Muro earns her second All-Region recognition for the 2025 campaign, previously being named to the D2CCA All-Region Second Team. The junior continued to be a strong two-way force for the Lions, earning All-East Coast Conference First Team honors after leading the team with seven assists on the campaign while netting two goals to rank tied for third on the squad with 11 points. The Middle Village, N.Y. native totaled multiple contests with two assists including tying a career-high three assists in the Lions victory at Staten Island.
Strait collects her second All-Region honor of the season after being named to the Second Team by D2CCA. The Millersburg, Pa native developed into a strong offensive midfielder in her second season in Rockville Centre earning a All-Conference First Team selection. Strait totaled six goals and one assist to rank second on the team with 13 points and eighth in the league in goals scored. The midfielder was a key component to the offensive attack, being one of the best in generating offense through the midfield into the attacking third.
Wetzel completes the members of the Lions earning an All-Region Second Team nod by both United Soccer Coaches and D2CCA. The Seaford, N.Y. native became one of the elite center backs in the ECC this season, earning All-East Coast Conference First Team awards. The sophomore helped the back-line hold opponents to an ECC low 14 while leading all field players with 1,594 minutes on the pitch while playing 90 minutes in 16 of 18 matches.
Beattie rounds up the four members of the Lions to be recognized by United Soccer Coaches, earning a spot on the Third Team. The graduate student added another element to her game in 2025, splitting time from the back line into the midfield. The Carle Place, N.Y. native became an offensive threat this season, totaling five goals on the campaign with four of them counting as a game-winner to lead the team.
