The Division Two Conference Commissioner's Association (D2CCA) released the results of the 2025 men's and women's All-Region Teams Tuesday with five members of the cardinal and white receiving recognition. Graduate student
Danu Kinsella Bishop of the Molloy men's soccer team was named All-Region First team. On the women's side, Juniors
Elyse Muñoz and
Isabella Muro and sophomores
Jana Strait and
Meghan Wetzel were selected to the All-Region Second Team.
Kinsella Bishop's lone season in Rockville Centre was an impactful one, as the graduate student was named the East Coast Conference Offensive Player of the Year en route to a All-ECC First Team nod. Appearing in 13 games while making 11 starts, the Dublin, Ireland native stormed onto the scene collecting 13 goals and 27 points, tying for second in the league in goals and third in points, respectively. The graduate student currently leads the country in goals per game (1.00) and sits tied for ninth in total goals. Kinsella Bishop excelled in ECC play, finding the back of the net on 11 occasions while collecting three multi-goal performances including a hat trick at Daemen.
For the first time in her career, Muñoz finds herself as an All-Region recipient on the Second Team. The junior goalkeeper collected her second straight ECC Goalkeeper of the Year alongside an All-ECC First Team selection. Making starts in all 18 contests, Muñoz led the league with a 0.79 goals against average, finished second with eight shut outs, and sat third in the conference in save percentage. In conference play, the East Setauket, N.Y. native bared down surrendering a league low four goals while totaling an 86 percent save percentage and a 0.57 goals against average.
Muro earns All-Region recognition for the second year in a row and the first time on the Second Team. The junior continued to be a strong two-way force for the Lions, leading the team with seven assists on the campaign while netting two goals to rank tied for third on the squad with 11 points. The Middle Village, N.Y. native totaled multiple contests with two assists including tying a career-high three assists in the Lions victory at Staten Island.
Strait tallies her first All-Region honor on the Second Team. The Millersburg, Pa native developed into a strong offensive midfielder in her second season in Rockville Centre earning a All-Conference First Team selection. Strait totaled six goals and one assist to rank second on the team with 13 points and eighth in the league in goals scored. The midfielder was a key component to the offensive attack, being one of the best in generating offense through the midfield into the attacking third.
Wetzel completes the members of the Lions earning an All-Region Second Team nod. The Seaford, N.Y. native became one of the elite center backs in the ECC this season, earning All-East Coast Conference First Team awards. The sophomore helped the back-line hold opponents to an ECC low 14 while leading all field players with 1,594 minutes on the pitch while playing 90 minutes in 16 of 18 matches.
