About Molloy:
  • The Lions hold a 5-9 overall record and 2-2 in East Coast Conference play.
  • Molloy went 1-1 last week, falling to Mercy, 3-1, Wednesday, September 27 but defeated STAC, 3-0, Saturday, September 30.
  • In the victory over STAC, sophomore Sara Hiebert paced the team with a career-high nine kills and seven blocks, sophomore Aria Miller topped the squad with 10 digs and three aces, and graduate student Mariana Donado Yepes tallied 27 assists and four blocks.
Queens:
  • The Knights are 9-5 overall and 3-1 in conference play.
  • Queens went 1-1 last week, falling to The College of Saint Rose, 3-1, Friday, September 29, but defeated Mercy, 3-1, Saturday, September 30.
  • Kendall Conrad leads the way for the squad ranking second in the conference with 183 kills, Sarah Munn is second in the league with 224 digs, and Despina Boudouris is averaging 8.95 assists per set also ranking second in the ECC.
  • The Lions and Knights met three times last year splitting in the regular season and meeting in the ECC Semifinal, where the Lions defeated the Knights, 3-1, November 11, 2022.
  • Molloy is 26-33 all-time against Queens.
Bloomfield:
  • The Bears enter October 0-6 overall and 0-5 in conference play.
  • Bloomfield went 0-2 last week, falling to Dominican, 3-1, Wednesday, September 27 and Chestnut Hill, 3-0, Saturday, September 30.
  • Nathaly Flores tops the team with 53 kills, Amanda Arroyo has dished out 92 assists, and Esther Dogbe has accounted for 10 blocks.
  • This is the first times the two teams will meet since September of 2017.
  • Molloy is 6-10 all-time against Bloomfield.
Roberts Wesleyan:
  • The Redhawks come into the week 4-9 overall and 1-3 in East Coast Conference play.
  • Roberts Wesleyan went 0-2 last week, falling to Daemen, 3-0, Wednesday, September 27 and D'Youville, 3-2, Saturday, September 30.
  • Olivia Price tops the team with 125 kills, Carleigh Schroeder is fourth in the conference averaging 8.54 assists per set, and Celine Malosa has collected 38 blocks.
  • The Lions topped the Redhawks, 3-0, last season on November 5, 2022.
  • Molloy is 13-7 all-time against Roberts Wesleyan.

Concerning the Lions:

Franklin Pierce:
  • The Ravens hold a 3-5 overall record and are 2-3 in conference play.
  • Franklin Pierce went 1-1 last week, defeating Saint Anselm, 2-1, Tuesday, September 26, but fell to Adelphi, 3-0, Saturday, September 30.
  • Silver Cluckey tops the squad with 11 points (five goals and one assist).
  • The Lions fell to the Ravens last season 3-0, October 15, 2022.
  • Molloy is 0-5 all-time against Franklin Pierce.
AIC:
  • The Yellow Jackets are 5-4 overall on the campaign and 2-3 in league play.
  • Bentley went 0-2 last week, falling to Bentley (Sept. 26) and New Haven (Sept. 30), 1-0.
  • Mayra Bok and Mia Wood lead the team with four goals each. 
  • The Lions fell to the Yellow Jackets, 2-1, last season September 24, 2022.
  • Molloy is 0-4 all-time against AIC.

Regarding Molloy:
  • The Lions enter the first week of October 3-2-4 overall and 2-0-1 in conference play.
  • Molloy went 0-0-1 last week, playing to a 1-1 draw with Roberts Wesleyan Tuesday, September 26.
  • In the tie against Roberts Wesleyan, senior Sarah Tappeto netted a free kick goal to knot the contest at one. 
Georgian Court:
  • The Lions are 2-3-4 overall and 1-0-3 in conference play.
  • Georgian Court went 1-1 last week, defeating Holy Family, 3-2, Wednesday, September 27 and played to a 1-1 draw against Post Saturday, September 30.
  • Ashley Merizaldle leads the team with six points (two goals and two assists).
  • The two teams' squads met last season with the contest ending in a 2-2 draw September 28, 2022.
  • Molloy is 4-1-3 all-time against Georgian Court.
Daemen:
  • The Wildcats hold a 4-3-1 overall record and 3-0 in ECC play.
  • Daemen went 1-0 last week, defeating Lincoln, 5-0, Sunday, October 1.
  • Kylie Miranto leads the conference with eight goals and 17 points on the campaign.
  • The Lions took down the Wildcats, 4-0, last season October 8, 2022.
  • Molloy is 6-3 all-time against Daemen.

Queens:

  • Queens opened its team portion of the season last week, defeating STAC, 4-3, Saturday, September 30.
  • The Lions dropped its match with the Knights, 7-0, last season on October 7, 2022.
