Rockville Centre, N.Y. - The men's soccer team concluded the regular season home schedule this afternoon with a 2-0 loss to the Setters of Pace University from the RVC Sports Complex. The loss sets the Lions to 3-6-6 on the season while Pace improves to 6-8-2.
How it Happened
- The Setters were quick to strike, finding the back of the net on a shot from Theo Poehlmann in the first 90 seconds of play.
- Molloy's first opportunity of the afternoon came in the 24th minute off a corner as Sean Fitzgerald fired the ball at the net, but Joe Zweben made the save for Pace.
- Molloy would force two more saves in the first half before Alex Squillacioti buried a rebounds from Daniel Santos past goalkeeper John Takach to double the visitors' lead.
- The Lions out-shot the Setters in the second half, 9-3, but Zweben made five stops to keep Molloy scoreless.
