On Molloy:
  • The Lions went 3-2 last week to improve to 7-4.
  • Molloy defeated AIC, 9-7, (March 5) and Franklin Pierce, 10-5, (March 6), fell to Slippery Rock, 18-6, (March 6) and Clarion, 5-4, (March 7) and topped New Haven, 10-3, (March 8).
  •  In the win over AIC, junior Peter Theodorellis recorded three hits at the plate and struck out six batters in 3.2 innings pitched for his first save of the season.
  • Senior Sean Hogan tallied two hits and drove in four runs in the win over Franklin Pierce.
  • Against New Haven, senior James Messina drove in three runs, tallied two hits, and scored one run, and junior Billy Wildeman threw seven innings, gave up three runs, and struck out seven batters to improve to 2-0 on the season.
Bloomfield
  • The Bears are 1-5-1.
  • Bloomfield fell to East Stroudsburg, 12-0, Saturday, March 7.
  • Julius Puryear leads the team with seven RBIs.
  • The Lions fell to the Bears, 6-3, in their last meeting Mar. 10, 2017.

Stonehill

About the Lions:
  • The women's bowling team hosted its annual Molloy Baker Challenge Sunday, February 23 at Farmingdale Lanes. The maroon and white came in fifth-place overall, knocking down 4568 pins and going 2-2 on the afternoon.
  • The Lions opened in a tough match against #5 Adelphi University, falling by just five pins, 881-876. Molloy responded with a definitive victory over Bloomfield College, 907-742.
  • In the bye round, the maroon and white topped 1000 pins for the first time in 2019-20, totaling 1028.
  • The keglers continued with an 898-687 topping of Saint Thomas Aquinas College before ending the afternoon in a loss to #13 Medaille, 898-858.
