Baltimore, Md. (Jan. 12, 2018) – The Molloy women's lacrosse team was ranked 17
th overall in the Nike/US Lacrosse Division II Women's Preseason Top 20, which was announced yesterday.
The Lions were one of four East Conference schools selected to the poll. Joining the maroon and white were LIU Post (6), NYIT (10), and Mercy (12).
Molloy returns its top two scorers from 2017. Junior
Brianna Wilson tallied 80 points (35 goals and 45 points), and senior
Jessica Markowitz netted 54 goals to go along with seven assists.
On defense, the maroon and white brings back
Emily Bauer. The junior tied for the team lead with 16 caused turnovers and ranked second with 21 ground balls in 2017.
The Lions open the season Feb. 9 at St. Leo's.
