- Daemen jumped out to an early lead, scoring twice within the opening two minutes.
- Freshman Jenna Italiano found senior Emma Brazier across the crease late in the first quarter to cut the deficit to one.
- Italiano scored early in the second quarter and later assisted on another Brazier goal, giving the Lions its first lead of the afternoon.
- The Wildcats took advantage of a free position and a man-up opportunity to regain a one goal lead, 4-3.
- Sophomore Ryleigh Zamora knotted the game at four with a free-position goal before Avery Castner put Daemen back in front.
- Freshman defender Avery Adamski pushed into the offensive zone and scored her first collegiate goal. Zamora followed with a bouncing shot to take back the lead with a minute and a half left.
- The Wildcats took advantage of a turnover and converted on a breakaway to tie the game at six right before the halftime break.
- Sophomore Ava Benasutti opened the second half with a free position goal before Daemen responded two minutes later, finishing through traffic to level the score at seven.
- With six and a half minutes remaining in the third, junior goaltender Samantha Heuer made a key save after a shot hit the post and a rebound chance followed, keeping the game tied.
- Benasutti powered through the Wildcats' defense to give the Lions an 8-7 lead.
- A quick chance in front tied the game for the Wildcats once again, but Benasutti completed her third-quarter hat trick to send the Lions into the fourth ahead 9–8.
- Castner converted on an odd-man rush to open the fourth before Marianna Szamoskozi scored on a man-up free position shot to regain the lead.
- Adamski netted her second goal of the game, slipping a shot past Daemen goaltender Mia Caryl to bring the Lions back within one.
- The Wildcats responded quickly, as Camryn Day set up Maria Salvo for the go-ahead goal.
