- Sophomore Cameron Thompson scored with a free position goal of her own, tying the game at four.
- Southern Connecticut's Abigail Nolan came out of the corner and finished in front to put Southern Connecticut ahead. Breya Montague followed with a man-up goal to give the Owls a 6-4 lead heading into halftime.
