Collegeville, Pa. - The Lions outdoor track and field programs continued the 2026 season at the Ursinus Springfest this weekend and established multiple program-records, personal-best times, and top-ranking finishes.
Graduate student
Marie Naudus established a program record for the second consecutive week, this time in the 800-meter. The time of 2:19.05 was good for second-place in the field of 51 runners and bested a mark that has stood since 2019. Naudus also took second in the 1500-meter with a time of 4:42.90.
Sophomore
Carli Sheiffele broke her own record in the 3000-meter steeplechase, shaving two seconds off the time she established a year ago coming in at 11:39.36.
On the men's side, senior
Jason Ferguson came in with a new Molloy record in the long jump at 7.02 meters. The previous mark was set two seasons ago by teammate
Jurrel Hall. The distance earned Ferguson a third-place finish among 28 competitors. He also set a personal-best in the 200-meter with a time of 23.06.
Hall set a record of his own on the weekend in the high jump. Finishing in sixth-place overall, the distance of 1.90 meters downed the previous record that dated back to 2012. Hall also finished third in the triple jump with a leap of 13.89 meters.
Also highlighting the cardinal and white's performances on the afternoon was the 4x400-meter relay group of sophomores
Kamar Birthwright,
Raymar Duncan, and
Quinten John as well as freshman
Ryan Lepre. The team was able to finish in third out of 21 with a time of 3:22.73. The 4x100-meter team of senior
Mark Siebenhuener, juniors
David Crews and
Stanley Louis, and sophomore
Kendrick Danso placed second in the field of 13 with a time of 42.34.
