The outdoor track and field teams had a full slate this weekend, competing at both the Silften and Wilton Wright Invitationals in Connecticut.
Three program records were downed by the women's team at the Silfen meet. Graduate student
Marie Naudus claimed a record for the third-straight week, this time putting up a time of 4:39.66, good for fourth in the field of 31, in the 1500-meter. The mark shaved off nearly three seconds from the previous record set a season ago.
Senior
Kathleen Healy also established a new record in the 10000-meter with a third-place time of 36:48.04. The record bests her own time from 2025 by nearly three whole minutes.
Rounding out the records on the women's side was sophomore
Carli Sheiffele in the 3000-meter steeplechase. The sophomore topped her own record time, set just a week ago, by nearly 15 seconds at 11:24.56 for third-place.
Also at the Silfen Invite side of the weekend, junior
Peter Bagattine set a personal-best in the 5000-meter at 15:24.78 while freshman
Anthony Baldasano ran a personal-best of his own in the same event at 16:12.22.
At Wilton Wright, junior
Amir Carter-Thomas led the way with a new program-record in the hammer throw, topping out at 44.22 meters. The mark bested the previous mark, set over a decade ago, by over four meters and was good for 11th-place overall.
Also having successful outings were Molloy's relay teams. The women's 4x100-meter group of freshmen
Tricia Danso,
Kimberly Gonzalez,
Leanne Richardson, and
Sophia Hines finished in second-place with a time of 48.48, missing a program record by just 0.01 seconds. The men's 4x100-meter team of sophomore Dominic Inzerilla, juniors
David Crews and
Stanley Louis, and senior
Mark Siebenhuener placed third with a time of 42.44. The men's 4x400-meter team also finished third with the grouping of freshmen
Jeovany Villatoro and
Brandon Fustanio, sophomore
Andre Calloo, and senior
Christian Canela running a time of 3:31.92.
Both programs will be back in action next weekend at the Rider Invitational (Apr. 17-18), hosted by Rider University at the Michael P. Brady Track and Field Complex in Lawrenceville, N.J.
