About the Lions:
  • The Lions enter the week 14-30 overall and 4-10 in ECC play.
  • Molloy went 0-4 last week. Falling in a pair of doubleheaders to Pace on Tuesday, April 21 and St. Thomas Aquinas Friday, April 24.
Mercy:
  • The Mavericks enter the week 21-15 overall and 10-6 against ECC opponents.
  • Mercy went 3-1 last week, sweeping Post in a doubleheader Tuesday, April 21 before splitting a doubleheader against Queens Friday, April 24.
  • The squad sports three players hitting at least .340: Averi Miller (.400), Allison Murphy (.392), and Emma Jackson (.340). Murphy leads all hitters with 51 hits, 39, RBI, 14 doubles, and a .600 slugging percentage. In the circle, Lauren McSweeney holds a team-high 3.11 ERA while Mackayla Secoda tops all pitchers with eight wins and 68 strikeouts.
  • The two programs split a doubleheader in Rockville Centre earlier this season April 2, 2026.
  • Molloy is 62-26 all-time against Mercy.  
Queens:
  • The Knights hold a 9-24 overall record alongside a 3-11 ECC record.
  • Queens went 1-3 last week, splitting a doubleheader with Mercy Friday, April 24 before falling in two games to D'Youville Sunday, April 26.
  • Olivia Wanser leads the lineup hitting .507 with 29 RBI, nine home runs and a .932 slugging percentage. In the circle, Nellie Donahue leads the rotation with a 3.62 ERA alongside 95 strikeouts and six wins.
  • The two squads met at the beginning of the month with the programs splitting a doubleheader April 7, 2026.
  • Molloy is 53-28-1 all-time against Queens.  
D'Youville:
  • The Saints come into the last week of April 18-16 overall and 8-8 in league play.
  • D'Youville went 4-0 last week, sweeping Staten Island Friday, April 24 and Queens Sunday, April 26.
  • Amongst qualified hitters, Frankie Morris leads the squad hitting .396 with 20 doubles while Danielle Fenlong tops all hitters with 44 hits. Jorja Sanilands sits atop the lineup with three home runs and 26 RBI. In the circle, Summer Clark is one of the ECCs best with 13 wins holding a 2.10 ERA in 123.1 innings and 101 strikeouts.
  • Both teams met on April 11, 2026 in Buffalo splitting a doubleheader.
  • Molloy is 14-9 all-time against D'Youville.

Regarding Molloy:
  • The Lions come into the week 32-8 overall and 22-3 in East Coast Conference play.
  • Molloy went 3-1 last week, taking down Dominican Tuesday, April 21 before winning two-of-three games at St. Thomas Aquinas from Friday, April 24 and Sunday, Apri 26. The Lions will conclude their four-game series with the Spartans Monday afternoon.
  • On the week, sophomore Steve Mulqueen paced the offense hitting .529 with a 1.118 slugging percentage in a week that saw the sophomore hit three home runs in three consecutive games. In total, Mulqueen collected 12 RBI, nine hits, six runs, and three home runs. Senior Jeremy Taggart tallied seven RBI and five hits while scoring four runs.
  • On the mound, the trio of graduate student JC Kiss, redshirt junior Mike Knapp, and junior James Sill combined surrendered no runs between the three while striking out a combined 16.
St. Thomas Aquinas:
  • The Spartans begin the week 24-18 overall and 13-12 in ECC play.
  • St. Thomas Aquinas went 1-3 last week, falling to East Stroudsburg Tuesday, April 21 before take one of three games from Molloy from Friday, April 24 through Sunday, April 26.
  • Nick Oelcher leads the squad hitting .374 with 49 hits while CJ Cumbo tops the lineup with eight home runs hits and 39 RBI. Through qualified starting pitchers, Christian Varela leads with three wins and 28 strikeouts while James Garcia has collected nine saves.
  • The two programs will conclude their four-game series Monday, April 27 at 3:30 p.m. at Mitchel Field.
  • Molloy is 68-49 all-time against St. Thomas Aquinas.
Staten Island:
  • The Dolphins enter the week 13-26 overall and 8-18 in ECC play.
  • Staten Island went 2-3 last week, falling to Felician Tuesday, April 21 before splitting a four-game series against Mercy in that spanned from Thursday, April 23 through Sunday, April 26.
  • Amongst qualified hitters, Jack Kehoe tops the with 47 hits and a .519 OBP with 34 walks while Jason Romance tops the lineup with six home runs and 31 RBI. The rotation has seen three players make at least six starts and all three players earning two victories.
  • The two programs met in early March for a doubleheader where the Lions came away with two victories March 14, 2026.
  • Molloy is 19-2 all-time against Staten Island.

Introducing Molloy:
  • The Lions competed at the Penn Relays this past weekend. The squad saw three teams advance to the finals in their respective events: the men's 4x100 meter, men's 4x400 meter, and women's 4x100 meter.
  • The men's 4x100-meter relay team of sophomore Raymar Duncan, juniors Stanley Louis and David Crews, and senior Mark Siebenhuener ran a time of 42.25 to punch their ticket to the finals while setting a new program record in the process. The finals saw a fifth-place finish at 42.65.
  • The women's 4x100-meter relay team of freshmen Leanne Robinson, Kimberly GonzalezTricia Danso, and sophomore Sophia Hines also secured a spot in the finals and established a new program record with a time of 47.94. In the finals, the team ran a time of 48.48, good for third-place. 
  • The men's 4x400-meter relay team of Duncan, Siebenhuener, freshman Ryan Lepre, and senior Christian Canela locked in a spot in the finals with a time of 3:19.92. The team placed seventh in the finals with a time of 3:23.68.
