The outdoor track and field teams had a busy weekend, competing at both the Monmouth Home Opener as well as the Ramapo Invitational, with success following at both sites.
The women's team led the way at the Monmouth meet, setting three new program records in the process. Freshman
Cameron Campo took home first-place in the 400-meter with a program-record tim of 58.58, breaking the record from 2022 by .03 seconds. Senior
Kathleen Healy followed with a third-place showing in the 5000-meter, erasing the previous record by over 16 seconds at 17:33.33. Rounding out the newest record holders was graduate student
Marie Naudus, who finished in sixth-place in the 1500-meter with a time of 4:42.15, 0.38 seconds faster than the previous record.
Other highlights from the Monmouth side of the equation were:
- Freshman Tricia Danso finished second in the 100-meter at 12.63 for her event debut.
- Sophomore Carli Sheiffele finished third in the steeplechase at 11:53.22
- Freshman Leanne Richardson placed fourth in the 100-meter at 12.74 and set a personal-best in the 200-meter at 26.07.
- Sophomore Sophia Hines placed fifth in the 100-meter at 12.74.
- Freshman Kimberly Gonzalez ran a personal-best time of 26.35 in the 200-meter.
- Freshman Brooke Hyland had event debuts in both the 100-meter (13.19) and 400-meter (1:07.06).
Over at Ramapo, sophomore
Jurrel Hall took home first-place in the long jump with a leap of 6.60 meters. He also finished in second-place in the triple jump with a distance of 14.29 meters. The 4x400-meter relay team of
Michael Jones,
Brandon Fustanio, Jeovanny Villatoro, and
Jason Ferguson ran to a second-place finish with a time of 3:37.09. Ferguson followed up with a fifth-place performance in the long jump at 6.44 meters.

- Freshman Kamryn Drakes (100-meter, 13.49)
- Freshman Kate Mejia (1500-meter, 6:00.55)
- Sophomore Sophia Michaels (1500-meter, 5:55.56)
- Freshman John Abad (1500-meter, 4:45.06)
- Freshman Ryan Anderson (discus, 31.88 meters)
- Freshman Anthony Baldasano (5000-meter, 16:22.02)
- Sophomore Amir Carter-Thomas (discus, 32.99 meters)
- Freshman Djurabe Edmond (hammer throw, 32.20)
- Freshman Brandon Fustanio (400-meter, 53.17)
- Freshman Dominic Inzerilla (400-meter, 54.43)
- Sophomore Anthony Perkins (100-meter, 11.99)

Both teams will be back in action next weekend at the Ursinus Springfest on Saturday (Apr. 4) from Patterson Field in Collegeville, Pa.
