The outdoor portion of the track and field schedule began yesterday at the Army Open, hosted at West Point. The cardinal and white had 12 top-five finishes and one new program record.
Freshman
Djurabe Edmond kicked off the outdoor campaign by etching his name into the history book for the shot put record. The rookie threw a distance of 13.64 meters, besting a mark of 12.35 from Charles Artino that has stood since the 2013 season. The mark was good for seventh-place on the afternoon.
Molloy saw top-five finishes from the following:

- Senior Kathleen Healy (5000-meter, 17:51.74)
- Freshman Brooke Hyland (400-meter, 1:00.79)
- Senior Marie Naudus (5000-meter, 17:51.23)
- Freshman Leanne Richardson (200-meter, 26.53; javelin, 20.72 meters)
Molloy will return to action at the Monmouth Opener next weekend (Mar. 27-28) from Kessler Stadium in West Long Branch, N.J.
