In the final competition before the East Coast Conference Championship meet, the men's and women's indoor track and field programs set two more records at the Big Apple Invitational.
Senior
Kathleen Healy reclaimed the 3000-meter record with a time of 10:09.12. This is the second time in two weeks that Healy has put herself in the record books, shaving two seconds off teammate
Marie Naudus' time (10:11.06) earlier this season. The time earned her third-place in the field of 33.
Junior
Amir Carter-Thomas also reclaimed a record for the second time this season, putting up a mark of 15.15 meters in the weight throw. The distance was good for first-place and surpassed the previous record from teammate
Djurabe Edmond by nearly a full meter.
Also rounding out the highlight performances was freshman
Cameron Campo, taking home first-place in the 400-meter with a time of 58.41 ahead of 39 other competitors.

The next time the Lions take to the track will be the ECC Indoor Championships on Sunday (Feb. 15). The meet is slated for 4:00 a.m. at the Ocean Breeze Track and Field Complex.
