New Castle, Del. – The Molloy women's bowling team tallied a fifth-place finish at the Northeast Roundup hosted by Wilmington University. Through a two-day tournament that ran from Saturday, March 15 through Sunday, March 16 the cardinal and white finished with a 6-2 record, totaling 8,426 pins to average 187.2.
Day One: Traditional
- Molloy opened the tournament against Caldwell in traditional play, falling to the Cougars, 975-920.
- Following the loss, the Lions would rally off three straight match victories. Molloy topped St. Thomas Aquinas, 901-611, Kutztown, 941-840, and Niagara, 1,020-959.
- With the three victories, Molloy finished day one 3-1.
- The squad saw four top-20 performances in traditional play. The keglers were led by sophomore Samantha Felice who rolled a 991 five-game series to average 198.2 placing 10th. Junior Emily Kulkarni finished 13th putting together a 958 series while averaging 191.6.
- Freshman Michaela Palumbo and junior Megan Guarascio collected finished 18th and 20th, respectively averaging 184.8 and 183.4.
Day Two: Baker
- The cardinal and white kicked off day two against Felician. In the final game of the baker match, Molloy totaled a 241 game to come from behind and steal match one, 993-986.
- The Lions would take on local rival Adelphi in match two and would suffer a small setback, falling to the Panthers, 901-889.
- The keglers took on Wilmington in its next match and on the back of three games eclipsing 200, Molloy topped the host school, 1,003-807.
- Molloy ended baker play topping Dominican, 922-882, heading into bracket play.
- In bracket play, the Lions matched up with with Kutztown and left no doubt, taking down the Bears, 4-1, to clinch fifth-place.

The Lions will have a few days to prepare for the East Coast Conference Championship. The tournament will take place in Sinking Spring, PA beginning Friday, March 21.
