Boston, Mass. - Members of both the men's and women's track and field teams traveled up to Boston University's Track and Tennis Center for the annual John Thomas Terrier Classic this weekend.
The women kicked things off on the right foot Friday evening as junior
Sabrina Spezia set a program-record for the fourth time this season, this time running the mile race in a time of 5:06.25. Junior
Kathleen Healy set a record of her own for the second-straight meet, running the 5000-meter in 18:30.77.
Senior
Megan Sohl set a new personal-best in the 800-meter at 2:22.46 while freshman
Julianna Roan set two new times in the 200-meter (27.71) and 60-meter.
On the men's side this afternoon, freshman
Michael Jones set new program-records in both the 200-meter (22.28) and 400-meter (50.11) races.
Fellow freshmen
Quinten John (60-meter, 7.28; 200-meter, 23.06),
Raymar Duncan (200-meter, 23.42; 400-meter, 51.48), and
Andre Calloo (200-meter, 23.73; 400-meter, 53.41) each set new personal-bests in their respective events.
The entire Molloy track and field squads will have one more meet to prepare for the 2024-2025 East Coast Conference Championship as they compete in the Big Apple Invite on Saturday (Feb. 8) at the Ocean Breeze Track and Field Complex on Staten Island, N.Y.
