About the Lions:
  • Molloy holds a 1-3-4 overall record and 0-1-2 in East Coast Conference play.
  • The Lions went 0-1-1 last week, playing to a 1-1 draw at Mercy Wednesday, October 1 before falling to St. Thomas Aquinas, 4-2, Saturday, October 4.
  • Senior Danu Kinsella Bishop accounted for the teams scoring in the pair of games, totaling three goals on 10 shots for the week. The senior netted the game-tying goal at Mercy before netting a pair of goals against the Spartans on Saturday. 
Caldwell:
  • The Cougars hold a 2-6-1 overall alongside a 1-3-1 CACC record.
  • Caldwell went 0-2 last week, falling to Southern Connecticut State, 1-0, Tuesday, September 30 and Georigan Court, 2-1, Saturday, October 4.
  • To this point in the year, Hakon Rake leads the team eight points on the back of four goals while Justin Talbot has made 41 saves in goal.
  • The two programs will get together for the first time since 2021 where the Cougars defeated the Lions in overtime, 2-1, September 8, 2021.
  • Molloy is 9-8-1 all-time against Caldwell.
Roberts Wesleyan:
  • The Redhawks are 6-0-4 overall and 2-0-1 in ECC competition.
  • Roberts Wesleyan went 1-0-1 last week, shutting out Goldey-Beacom, 3-0, Wednesday, October 1 before playing to a scoreless draw against UDC Saturday, October 4.
  • Archie Murphy ranks first in the country with 20 points, tallying nine goals good for second in the nation and two assists. Murphy holds a 56 percent shots on goal percentage.
  • In last season's matchup, the Redhawks shut out the Lions, 2-0, October 26, 2024.
  • Molloy is 6-5-2 all-time against Roberts Wesleyan.

Regarding Molloy:
  • The Lions enter the week winners of four straight, holding a 6-2-2 overall record and 2-0-1 in East Coast Conference play.
  • Molloy went 2-0 last week, defeating Pace, 2-1, Tuesday, September 30 and St. Thomas Aquinas, 4-0, Saturday, October 4.
  • At Pace, sophomore Marissa Tonic collected her first goal of the season and senior Olivia Ingenito netted the game-winning goal in the 74th minute.
  • Against St. Thomas Aquinas, Molloy tallied four different goal scorers in graduate student Emma Beattie, senior Mikaela Barriga, junior Madison Keenan, and sophomore Jana Strait.
  • Sophomore Bella Juliano handed out two assists in the contest and three total on the weekend.
Bridgeport:
  • The Purple Knights hoist a 2-4-3 overall record and are 2-3 in CACC play.
  • Bridgeport went 1-0-1 last week, drawing against No. 24 ranked Franklin Pierce, 1-1, Tuesday, September 30 before falling to No. 11 Jefferson, 4-0, Saturday, October 4.
  • Chloe Oudin, Luiza Macedo, and Pia-Lauren Wisnewski top the offense with two goals each with Oudin leading the squad with six points. In goal, Angelina Griva has tallied 32 saves in five games played.
  • When the two squads got together last season in Rockville Centre, the Lions came away with a 3-0 victory October 8, 2024.
  • Molloy is 7-22-4 all-time against Bridgeport.
Roberts Wesleyan:
  • The Redhawks come into the first full week of October 5-3-1 overall and 2-1 in conference play.
  • Roberts Wesleyan went 1-1 last week, falling to Daemen, 3-1, Wednesday, October 1 before taking down AIC, 3-0, Saturday, October 4.
  • Mackenzie Hagen leads all scorers with 12 points on the back of five goals and two assists while totaling a 72 percent shots on goal percentage.
  • The Lions took down the Redhawks, 3-1, last season October 26, 2024.
  • Molloy is 10-4-1 all-time against Roberts Wesleyan.

  • The Lions fell to Army, 49-0, last week Friday, October 3.
Chestnut Hill:
  • The Griffins enter the week 2-1 on the campaign.
  • Chestnut Hill went 1-0 last week, taking down Cornell, 34-12, Saturday, October 4.
  • Anthony Cancellare quarterbacks the offense with 772 yards and six touchdown passes while completing 58 percent of his passes. On the ground, Xavier Limehouse has scored five time while totaling 265 yards and Kyree Griffin leads with 290 yards receving while Winday Dawson has brought in three touchdown receptions.
  • This will be the first matchup between the two programs.

  • Molloy went 1-1 last week, sweeping Queens, 3-0, Wednesday, October 1 before falling to Southern Connecticut State, 3-1, Friday, October 3.
  • Against the Knights, freshman Hayden Trechter led the Molloy offense with 11 kils while adding seven digs, junior Erin Stanley followed with 10 kills, graduate student Julia Zalta tallied 23 assists, and senior Aria Miller led the squad with 16 digs and five aces.
Roberts Wesleyan:
  • The Redhawks come into the first full week of October 1-14 overall and 1-1 against ECC competition.
  • Roberts Wesleyan went 0-1 last week, falling to AIC, 3-0, Sunday, October 5.
  • To this point, Camryn Karelus tops the squad with 146 kills, Sierra George has dished out 211 assists, while Morgan Verbridge tops the squad with 39 blocks including seven solo.
  • The Lions split its two conference matchups with the Redhawks last season. It their most recent matchup, the Lions fell, 3-0, November 9, 2024.
  • Molloy is 15-9 all-time against Roberts Wesleyan.

  • Molloy maintains a 1-8 overall record and are 0-5 in Northeast-10 play.
  • The Lions went 0-2 last week, falling to Pace, 2-0, Tuesday, September 30 and St. Thomas Aquinas, 3-2, Saturday, October 4.
  • In the contest against Pace, sophomore Kayla Balsamo saved a career-high 29 shots also tying a program record.
  • Against the Spartans, senior Catherine Amini and junior Farah Amarando collected their first goals of the season.
Franklin Pierce:
  • The Ravens are 1-7 overall and 0-4 in NE10 play.
  • Franklin Pierce went 0-2 last week, falling to Assumption, 7-1, Tuesday, September 30 and Southern New Hampshire, 5-1, Saturday, October 4.
  • Reese Swanson tops the squad with eight points on the back of four goals while Lily Zavras tops with three assists.
  • In last season's matchup, the Lions came away with a 2-0 victory October 9, 2024 in Seaford.
  • Molloy is 1-6 all-time against Franklin Pierce. 
Cross Country
Saturday, October 11 at Highlander Invite – Newark, N.J.
 
Introducing the Lions:
  • Molloy competed at the Paul Short Invite Friday, October 3. The women highlighted the performance, finishing sixth out of a field of 29 teams while the men's team placed 26th in the field of 35 teams.
  • Senior Kathleen Healy led the way for the Lions in her season debut, running the 6k race in a time of 23:25.2 for 13th overall. Sophomore Carli Sheiffele (24:25.8) and senior Marie Naudus (24:27.0) also finished inside the top-50.
  • On the men's side, freshman Anthony Baldasano ran an 8k time of 27:31.2, finishing in 53rd in his collegiate debut. Junior Peter Bagattine also finished in under 30 minutes at 28:16.5 while senior James Nichol followed at 30:19.1.
