Box Score 2 New Castle, Del.- The softball team's struggles on the road continued this afternoon at #22 Wilmington, falling to the Wildcats 3-1 and 5-4. The Lions, who entered the day on an eight-game winning streak, sits at an even 15-15 on the season while Wilmington improves to 23-10.

Game One: Wilmington 3, Molloy 1
How it Happened
- Wilmington was first to strike, scoring two runs on three singles in the bottom of the first inning.
- Singles from sophomore Mae Savage, graduate student Emma Bachman, and senior Chrissie Huhn loaded the bases for the Lions in the top of the second.
- Graduate student Alex Burns drew a walk to put Molloy on the board and cut the deficit in half.
- Sam Freeland's second RBI single of the game put the Wildcats' ahead 3-1 in the bottom of the fifth inning to round out the scoring.
- The Molloy bats were limited to just one hit in the final five innings.

- Bachman and Huhn each delivered two hits.
- Dabbadie, Savage, and Burns each contributed to the effort with one hit with Burns driving in the lone run.Â

Game Two: Wilmington 5, Molloy 4
How it Happened
- After two scoreless innings, Wilmington was once again on the board first, scoring on a throwing error by the Molloy infield.Â
- Burns started the top of the fourth inning with a single up the middle, moving to third base on a single from junior Cheralyn Dusharme.Â
- Junior Natalia Moussa's RBI single through the left side leveled the game at one.
- A walk to Savage loaded the bases for sophomore Emily McGurk, who plated two runs with a double to right field and gave Molloy its first lead of the afternoon, 3-1.
- Isabella Eleazar and Julia Thuer's hit back-to-back run-scoring doubles to tie the contest once again in the home half of the inning.
- The Lions responded with consecutive singles from Burns, Dabbadie, and Dusharme to load the bases in the fifth inning.
- For the second-straight inning, timely hitting from Moussa drove in a run with a single to left field, regaining the lead, 4-3.
- A pair of singles and a stolen base evened the scoring at 4 in the bottom of the fifth before another untimely error from the Molloy infield gave the Wildcats the game-winning run.
