New York, N.Y. - The men's and women's indoor track and field programs competed at the Scarlet Knight Open, held at the Armory Track and Field Center and hosted by Rutgers University.
On the women's side,
Faith Rousseau finished eighth in the shot put, throwing a distance of 11.10 meters.
Megan Sohl ran the 800-meters in 2:26.82, good for 52nd.
For the men, the 4x200 meter relay team of
Gianni Macchio,
Christian Canela,
Juan Arango, and
Emmanouil Paravalos placed third with a time of 1:30.62. Individually, Macchio also placed 13th in the 60-meter with a time of 7.04 seconds.
Schnyder Germain ran to a 14th-place performance in the 400-meter with a time of 50.58 seconds. In the field events,
Jurrel Hall led with a seventh-place finish in the triple jump with a leap of 13.98 meters.
The Lions are back in action this weekend at the Big Apple Invite at Ocean Breeze Track and Field Complex in Staten Island, N.Y. It will be the final tune up before the East Coast Conference Championships on Feb. 18.
