Staten Island, N.Y. - The indoor track and field programs returned to action this weekend at the Big Apple Invite, the final meet before the East Coast Conference Championship, at the Ocean Breeze Athletic Center.
Alaysia Cobb finished seventh in the 500-meter race, running a personal-best time of 1:24.18.
Kathleen Healy also set a personal-best in the 3000-meter with a time of 10:50.40.
Megan Sohl rounded out the top performers on the women's side with a 23rd-place finish in the 8000-meter race at 2:26.58.Â
Eric Anderson led the way for the men's team, finishing in fourth in the 500-meter with a personal-best time of 1:06.91.
Emmanouil Paravalos finished in fifth right behind him with a new personal-best of 1:07.51.
Manny Fernandez placed eighth with a PR time of 1:09.95.Â
David Crews (7.30) and
Stanley Louis (7.37) set new personal records in the 60-meter dash, coming in 15th and 22nd, respectively.
Mark Siebenhuener finished in 17th with a time of 7.35. Louis and Siebenhuener also both set new personal-bests in the 200-meter at 22.81 and 22.90, respectively.Â
The distance runners also saw new personal-bests:
Peter Bagattine (9:06.01) and
Eric Palencia (9:13.48) in the 3000-meter and
James Nichol (4:48.98) and Matthew Rathje (4.56.20) in the mile.Â
The Lions will be in action on Sunday (Feb. 18) at the East Coast Conference Championship from Ocean Breeze in Staten Island, N.Y. at 4:00 p.m.
