Ursinus, Pa. - The men's and women's indoor track and field teams appeared at the Collegeville Classic, hosted by Ursinus College this past weekend.
On the women's side,
Alaysia Cobb ran to a fifth-place finish in the 400-meter (1:03.52) with
Megan Sohl finishing in seventh (1:05.95).
Kathleen Healy ran a personal-best time in the mile of 5:37.40.
The 4x400-meter relay team of Cobb, Sohl,
Anne Jeanty, and
Isabella Fortaleza placed second with a time of 4:24.12.
In the field,
Marygrace Coll recorded personal-bests in both the long jump (4.67 meters), and the triple jump (10.21 meters, fourth-place).
Faith Rousseau had a personal-record in the shot put at 11.20 meters.
On the men's side,
Gianni Macchio finished first in the 60-meter dash with a time of 6.99 and set a new personal-best in the long jump at 6.60 meters.
Jurrel Hall's leap of 6.67 meters was good for fourth-place.
David Crews (7.33) and Schynder Germain (7.58) also set a PR in the 60-meter dash.
Eric Anderson ran to a third-place finish in the 400-meter with a time of 52.03. The conversion rate of 51.22 was a personal-best.
For the distance runners, Eric Palenca (9:18.70) in the 3000-meter and
Peter Bagattine (15:55.37) in the 5000-meter set new personal records.
The Lions will head to Boston, Mass. next weekend for the John Terrier Classic.
