North Brunswick, N.J. – The Molloy women's bowling team returned to NCAA competition appearing at the Garden State Classic hosted by Monmouth University at Carolier Lanes. The Lions completed the two-day tournament with a fourth-place finish in baker format and second in traditional play.
Day One – Baker
- Molloy began the tournament with a 2-3 showing in Baker Play.
- The cardinal and white lost its first three matches to Bloomfield, Merrimack, and Monmouth.
- The Keglers responded in match four defeating St. Francis Brooklyn, 866-794, propelled by a 201 score in game four.
- The Lions concluded the first day of the tournament with a victory over Bryant, 885-758, highlighted by a 203-104 victory in game one, to finish fourth on day one.
Day Two – Traditional
- The Lions reversed the day one results with a 3-2 day Sunday afternoon.
- After dropping the opening match to Howard, Molloy took down Hobart and William Smith, 843-557, highlighted by sophomore Jessica Portela and senior Amanda Kreush who rolled games of 203 and 200, respectively.
- The cardinal and white continued the winning formula in game 3 against Bryant, defeating the Bulldogs in a nail biter, 872-870, propelled by a standout performance from Dominique Di Domenico who scored a 212.
- Molloy picked up its third win of the afternoon against Monmouth, taking down the tournament host, 858-828, with Kreush pacing the keglers with a 202 high-game.
- The Lions would conclude the day falling to Merrimack, 931-834, to finish second in traditional play.
