Tappeto Named CSC Academic All-America Second Team

Austin, Texas – For the first time in Molloy women's soccer history, junior Sarah Tappeto was named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-America Second Team.

After etching her name in the women's soccer record books throughout the course of the season, Tappeto tops off a record-breaking season by becoming the 13th student-athlete in Molloy history to be named an Academic All-American by College Sports Communicators.

The Academic All-America program recognizes the achievement of student-athletes in the classroom and on their field of play. Tappeto, an accounting and finance major has been a staple of the Molloy backline for three seasons, winning East Coast Conference Championships in 2019 and 2021.

On the field this season, the junior brought in D2CCA All-American Second Team, All-ECC First Team, D2CCA All-East Regional First Team, United Soccer Coaches All-East Region Second Team, and College Sports Communicators Academic All-District honors. Additionally, Tappeto became both the program's all-time (23) and single season (17) assist leader while leading the country in assists and assists per game (.89).
