On the Lions: 
  • Molloy is 8-7 overall and 2-1 in conference play.
  • The Lions went 1-0 last week, defeating Mercy, 3-0, Wednesday, September 28.
  • Against the Mavericks, freshman Kaitlin Jordan and junior Kathleen Doherty paced the attack with eight kills apiece. Sophomore Julia Zalta totaled 30 assists, and freshman Aria Miller recorded 11 digs. 
Queens: 
  • The Knights enter the contest 6-10 overall and 1-2 in league play.
  • Queens fell to Mercy, 3-1, Saturday, October 1 to go 0-1 on the week.
  • The Knights have three players in the top five in the conference in kills, Kendall Conrad (138), Alexis Deodat (136), and Christina Franco (119).
  • The Lions defeated the Knights, 3-0, in their last matchup on November 13, 2021.
  • Molloy is 24-32 all-time against Queens.
Roberts Wesleyan:
  • The Redhawks hold a 3-12 overall record and are 1-2 in ECC play.
  • Roberts Wesleyan went 1-1 last week, falling to Daemen, 3-0, Wednesday, September 28, but defeated D'Youville, 3-1, Friday, September 30.
  • Outside Hitter Sydney Yanak leads the team at the net with 112 kills.
  • The Lions triumphed over the Redhawks in their last meet, 3-0, November 6, 2021.

Concerning Molloy:
  • Molloy holds an 8-2-2 overall record and is 4-1 in ECC play.
  • The Lions went 1-0-1 on the week, drawing Georgian Court, 2-2, Wednesday, September 28, and defeated Queens, 6-1, Saturday, October 1. 
  • In the draw against Georgian Court, Molloy saw goals from junior Lindsey McCarthy, and graduate student Morgan Camarda.
  • Against Queens, junior Sarah Tappeto netted a goal and totaled three assists, junior Eleni Sofroniou tallied two goals, and McCarthy added two goals.
Jefferson: 
  • The Rams are first in the CACC with a 6-3-1 overall record and 5-0-1 in conference play.
  • Jefferson went 1-0-1 last week, defeating Wilmington, 3-0, Tuesday, September 27, and tied with Bridgeport, 2-2, Friday, September 30.
  • Nikki Dedes paces the offense with eight goals, while Laural Erick leads the team with four assists.
  • The Lions defeated the Rams last season, 1-0, on October 6, 2021.
  • Molloy is 6-13-3 all-time against Jefferson.
Daemen: 
  • The Wildcats are 1-8-1 overall and 1-2 in league play.
  • Daemen went 1-1 last week, falling to Mercyhurst, 1-0, Wednesday, September 28, but came back to defeat STAC, 1-0, Saturday, October 1.
  • On offense, the Wildcats sport three players with one goal, Brooke Amato, Tatyjana Scalisi, and Madita Zeitz.
  • The Lions fell to the Wildcats, 3-1, last season on October 2, 2021.
  • Molloy is 5-3 all-time against Daemen.

  • Molloy fell to UDC, 7-0, last week on Saturday, October 1. 
Queens:
  • The Knights are 2-0 overall on the year and 2-0 in conference play.
  • This is the first team match for the squad since Saturday, September 17 when they defeated D'Youville, 7-0.
 
Cross Country
Saturday, October 8 at NJIT Highlander Challenge – 10:15 a.m. – Newark, N.J.
 
On the Lions:
  • Molloy ran at the Paul Short Invitational last week.
  • On the men's side, sophomore Aiden Watson led the team in the 8K race, running to a personal-best 26:28.2, finishing 54th of 338.
  • Junior Frank Ferrante (27:07.7), and sophomores Eric Palencia (27:11.7), and Matt Floyd (27:35.7) joined Watson with personal records in the race. 
  • Senior Kristi Ackerina paced the women's team in the 6K race, running a 24:34.3 to finish 119th of 331.
  • Juniors Maureen O'Callaghan (25:27.2) and Evie Strati (25:40.4) ran personal bests in the race.
