Rockaway, N.J. - The women's bowling team returned to action at the Cougar Classic, hosted by Caldwell University. Molloy placed sixth in the 11-team field, including taking victories over three nationally-ranked teams.
Day 1 (Baker)
- The Lions opened the tournament with back-to-back victories, topping Bloomfield for the third time this season, 833-789, and Felician University for the second time, 947-866.
- Molloy fell in the next two contests against nationally-ranked opponents, #25 Monmouth, 851-823 and #8 Caldwell, 991-865.
- The afternoon ended with a 928-638 victory over New Jersey City University.
Day Two (Traditional)
- The second day of competition began with losses to top programs in #9 Fairleigh Dickinson, 900-850, and #7 University of Maryland Eastern Shores, 1054-908. In the loss to UMES, senior Carly Licht knocked down 204 pins.
- The maroon and white downed #24 LIU, 903-897, featuring a 193-pin performace from junior Christie Warmingham.
- Warmingham added 197 pins in a 909-865 loss to #6 Adelphi.
- In the bye match, a 188 from sophomore Allison Burfeindt helped to add 838 to Molloy's total pinfall.
Day Three (Championship Bracket)
- The Lions entered the bracket ranked ninth after amassing a 4-5 record through the first two days of play.
- Led by 192 pins from Licht, Molloy advanced with an 889-835 victory over #11 Sacred Heart University.
- With the format then switching to Baker play, the maroon and white found themselves down 2-0 against #6 Adelphi. The Lions forced a game seven after three straight victories. Molloy advanced with a 4-3 victory, the first win over the Panthers in the 2019-20 campaign.
- Despite once again forcing a seventh game, this time against #24 LIU, Molloy's streak came to an end in a 4-3 loss, ending the afternoon in sixth-place.
at Stevens Invitational
- Molloy finished second in the women's portion of the Stevens Invitational.
- Senior Rosie Snyder placed first with a 190.6 average while putting up games of 203 and 208.
- Freshman Makayla Katz tallied a 187.
