About the Lions:
  • The Lions enter the week 10-22 overall and 3-7 in ECC play.
  • Molloy went 3-3 last week, splitting three doubleheaders against Jefferson Monday, April 6, Queens Tuesday, April 7, and D'Youville Saturday, April 11.
  • Throughout the week, junior Stevie Dabbaide picked up two wins in the circle at Jefferson and at Queens. At the plate, junior Mariah Cepeda stood out hitting .500, collecting 11 hits, nine RBI, six runs, and five doubles.
 
Caldwell:
  • The Cougars enter the week 18-12 overall and 10-0 against CACC opponents.
  • Caldwell went 6-0 last week, sweeping three doubleheaders against Felician Tuesday, April 7, Wednesday, April 8, and Goldey-Beacom Saturday, April 11.
  • The squad sports three players hitting .300 with three hitting over .335: Kendall Mazur (.344), Kenzie Nazionale (.341), and Emily Kurth (.338). Nazionale leads all hitters with 31 hits, 18 stolen bases, and four triples while Kurth tops the squad with 24 RBI and seven doubles. In the circle, Haleigh Fisher has collected seven wins alongside a 2.49 ERA.
  • The two programs will meet for the first time since 2021 where the Cougars swept the Lions in a doubleheader April 23, 2021.
  • Molloy is 8-20 all-time against Caldwell.  
Staten Island:
  • The Dolphins hold a 9-15 overall record alongside a 4-6 ECC record.
  • Staten Island went 0-4 last week, falling in doubleheaders to Mercy Friday, April 10 and St. Thomas Aquinas Saturday, April 11.
  • Abbie Morris leads the lineup hitting .375 while Aliveah Warner tops all players with 11 RBI and eight doubles. Inside the circle, Marena Grenier leads the roration with a 3.98 ERA, six wins, and 64 strikeouts.
  • The two teams met two weeks ago with the Dolphins taking two games, both in extra innings on March 31.
  • Molloy is 14-6 all-time against Staten Island.   
Goldey-Beacom:
  • The Lightning come into mid-April 15-15 overall and 5-7 in league play.
  • Goldey-Beacom went 1-3 last week, splitting a doubleheader with Holy Family Tuesday, April 7 before falling in two games at Caldwell Saturday, April 11.
  • Amongst qualified hitters, McKenna Frank leads the squad hitting .389 with 37 hits, 23 RBI and 26 runs scored. In the circle, Molly Skelly (2.74) and Lauren Carbonara (2.91) have tallied ERA's under 3. Skelly leads with seven wins while Carbonara tops the rotation wit 39 strikeouts.
  • The Lions and Lightning will get together for the first time since 2008 where the Lions took both games of a doubleheader April 13, 2008.
  • Molloy is 2-0 all-time against Goldey-Beacom.
Dominican:
  • The Chargers hoist a 2-20 overall record with a 1-7 CACC record.
  • Dominican went 0-2 last week, falling to Holy Family Saturday, April 11.
  • Kindel Johnson tops the lineup hitting .438 with 28 hits, and 10 doubles. In the circle, Gianno Longo leads the rotation with a 4.24 ERA while Emily Baxter has struck out a team-high 37.
  • The Lions and Chargers last met in 2022 where they split a doubleheader in Rockville Centre April 18, 2022.
  • Molloy is 23-10-1 all-time against Dominican.

Regarding Molloy:
  • The Lions come into the week on a program record 15-game win streak, holding a 24-7 overall record alongside 16-2 conference record.
  • Molloy went 6-0 last week, sweeping Caldwell Monday, April 6 in a doubleheader before sweeping Mercy in a four-game series that spanned from Friday,
  • April 10 through Sunday, April 12.
  • On the week, sophomore Steven Mulqueen paced the offense hitting .409 while totaling nine hits, seven runs scored, five RBI, five walks and one home run.
  • On the mound, redshirt junior Mike Knapp tossed his third complete game of the year tossing seven innings allowing one earned run on four hits and striking out a season-high 10. 
Dominican:
  • The Chargers enter the week 15-22 overall and 11-12 in CACC play.
  • Dominican went 2-5 last week, falling to Lincoln (Apr. 6) and Mercy (Apr. 7) in single contests before splitting with Bridgeport in a doubleheader Wednesday, April 8 and taking one game of a three-game set against Goldey-Beacom in a weekend series from Saturday, April 11 through Sunday, April 12.
  • Amongst qualified hitters, Kevin Hirsch tops the with 59 hits and 46 RBI while Erick Diaz leads with a .408 average, 12 home runs and 22 walks. The rotation has seen three players make at least seven starts, of the three Tanner MacLean leads in innings pitched (37.1) and strikeouts (32) and AJ Mitchell leads with a 5.45 ERA.
  • The two programs met last season April 29, 2025 with the Chargers earning a 13-6 triumph.
  • Molloy is 27-23 all-time against Dominican.
D'Youville:
  • The Saints begin the week 14-21 overall and 9-9 in ECC play.
  • D'Youville went 4-0 last week, sweeping Staten Island in a series that spanned from Friday, April 10 through Sunday, April 12.
  • Blaise Kolbert leads the squad hitting .369 while Billy Morris tops the lineup with 47 hits and Colby Wilson has a team-high 10 home runs and 32 RBI. Through the rotation, Billy Morris has collected four wins and a 4.18 ERA.
  • The two programs met in Uniondale March 20 with the teams splitting a doubleheader, marking the last loss for the Lions since starting the win streak.
  • Molloy is 14-4 all-time against D'Youville.

Scouting the Lions:
  • Molloy enters the week ranked 14th in the country, holding a 11-3 overall record alongside a 5-0 ECC record.
  • The Lions went 1-1 last week, falling to top-ranked Adelphi, 10-9, Tuesday, April 7 before defeating Mercy, 17-11, Saturday, April 11 on senior day.
  • In the win over Mercy, senior Brian Green (4 goals, 1 assist) and freshman Jaden Simick (3 goals, 2 assists) led the team with five points apiece. Senior Brandon Pazienza collected two goals, went 15-for-23 at the face-off X, and collected a game-high eight ground balls. Defensively, sophomore Liam Taylor caused three turnovers and senior John Basile made nine saves.
UDC:
  • The Firebirds hoist a 1-8 record and are 0-4 in ECC play.
  • UDC went 1-0 last week, falling to St. Thomas Aquinas Saturday, April 11.
  • With 15 goals and eight assists, Myles Henry leads the team with 23 points.
  • The two teams met last season in Rockville Centre with the Lions earning a 29-3 triumph April 19, 2025.
  • Molloy is 9-1 all-time against UDC.

  • Molloy heads into the week 4-8 overall and 1-2 in East Coast Conference play.
  • The Lions went 0-1 last week, falling to 13th ranked Adelphi, 20-3, Wednesday, April 8.
St. Thomas Aquinas:
  • The Spartans hold a 2-7 overall record and are 1-3 in league play.
  • St. Thomas Aquinas went 2-0 last week, taking down Felician, 13-12, Thursday, April 9 and UDC, 18-11, Saturday, April 11.
  • Jada Garcia leads all scorers with 14 goals and four assists to total 18 points.
  • In last year's meeting in Sparkill, the Lions triumphed, 21-7, April 26, 2025.
  • Molloy is 16-3 all-time against St. Thomas Aquinas. 
D'Youville:
  • The Saints hold a 5-7 overall record and are 2-1 in league play.
  • D'Youville went 0-1 last week, falling to Roberts Wesleyan, 19-6, Saturday, April 11.
  • Madison Buck leads the squad with 47 points on the back of 22 goals and 25 assists while Madison Handley leads the team with 31 goals.
  • In last year's meeting in Rockville Centre, the Lions triumphed, 16-11, April 19, 2025.
  • Molloy is 4-1 all-time against D'Youville.

Introducing Molloy:
  • The Lions put together a split squad weekend last week, with the women's team competing at the Silften Invite while the men competed at the Wilton Wright Invite.
  • The women's team was led by a trio of program records. Graduate student Marie Naudus earned fourth in the 1500-meter running a program-record time of 4:39.66, senior Kathleen Healy ran a 36:48.04 in the 10000-meter besting her own record by almost three minutes in a third-place showing, and sophomore Carli Sheiffele crossed the line in third-place in the steeplechase with a time of 11:24.56.
  • On the men's side, junior Peter Bagattine set a personal-best in the 5000-meter at 15:24.78 while freshman Anthony Baldasano ran a personal-best of his own in the same event at 16:12.22.
