Hopkinton, N.H. - The 2025 cross country season came to an end this afternoon at the Division II NCAA East Regional Championship at the Hopkinton Fairgrounds, hosted by Franklin Pierce University. The women's team placed in fifth for the second-straight season, matching the program's best finish, with 173 points. The men's team finished 14th overall in their race.
The Lions' women's program saw All-Region performances from sophomore
Carli Sheiffele, who completed the 6k course in a time of 22:52.5 for 15th-place and senior
Kathleen Healy with a 20th-place personal-best time of 23:06.9. Molloy's scorers were rounded out by seniors
Alaysia Cobb (24:23.9) and Marie Maudus (24:25.0) as well as freshmen
Martina Mileti (26:05.7).Â
The men's team was led by junior
Peter Bagattine, running the 10k course in a time of 34:17.6. Freshman
Anthony Baldasano followed with a time of 35:50.5. Rounding out the scoring were seniors
James Nichol (36:46.3) and
Matt Rathje (37:34.4) and freshman
MiKai Marks (36:59.0).
The focus for the program will now shift to the track and field season beginning on Decemberr 6 at the Ocean Breeze Complex for the Youree-Spence Garcia Invitational at 4:30 p.m. from Staten Island, N.Y.
