About the Lions
- Molloy enters the ECC Tournament as the most effective offense in the field, averaging 12.62 kills per set as a unit and totaling 1136 on the season.
- The Lions also have stood tough against opponent's serving on the back line, allowing a league-low 1.59 aces per set from their opponents.
- As a team, Molloy also garnered more All-Confernece selections than any other team in the league, including the unanimous Libero of the Year in Aria Miller. Graduate student Julia Zalta joined her on the All-ECC First Team while Chiericati, junior Erin Stanley, and sophomore Isabella Rios earned Second Team nods and freshman Haven Trechter received Honorable Mention.
- Chiericati leads the league with a hitting percentage of .322, totaling 129 kills on 314 attacks. Zalta tops the league with 0.60 service aces per set, totaling 54 on th season. Miller's 4.23 digs per set, 372 total, also tops the stat sheet.
Against the Field
- Molloy went 4-2 against the ECC Tournament field in 2025, sweeping series with both Daemen and D'Youville.
- The Lions will be looking to win a third-straight match against Daemen University to advance to the Championship Game. In 2025, Molloy holds a 6-1 set advantage. Three-straight wins over the Wildcats will be the longest winning streak in history against the program. The last time the Lions defeated Daemen in back-to-back contests was in 2019, which saw both an ECC and NCAA East Regional Championship return to Rockville Centre.
- If Molloy is able to get past Daemen, it will face the winner of #4 D'Youville and #1 Mercy.
- The Lions had gritty victories over the Saints, totaling a 6-5 set advantage in 2025. In total, Molloy holds a 9-1 all-time record over D'Youville spanning the five seasons of competition.
- Molloy will be out for revenge if faced with a rematch against Mercy after the top-seeded Mavericks downed the Lions in a heartbreaking five-set decision to end the regular season and determine the top-seed in this tournament. Mercy also swept Molloy earlier this season.
- The last time Molloy lost more than two-straight contests to the Mavericks dates back 20 years with the Lions holding a 32-26 all-time record against Mercy.
Scouting Daemen
- The Wildcats went 8-4 in league play in 2025 to earn the three-seed, putting up a 12-13 overall record.
- Daemen's losses in league play came to both Molloy and Mercy, dropping both games of the series to both programs by a combined score of 1-12.
- The team totaled two All-Conference selections: a First Team nod for Keira Mullen and Second Team selection for Nahirka Malpica. In her first season with the Wildcats, Mullen led the team with 286 kills and is fourth in the league in kills per set at 3.21. Malpica is the only member of the team to appear in each of the Wildcats' 92 sets this season and ranks in the top-10 in the league in both kills (2.95) and digs (2.99) per set.
- Daemen has been a perennial contender for the ECC crown, appearing in the tournament for the seventh-straight time and winning four of the last six.
