Rockville Centre, NY- The volleyball team was back at Bob Houlihan Court this afternoon, earning a 3-1 victory over Pace University. With the win, the Lions improve to 4-8 on the season, while the Setters fall to 4-5.

How it Happened
- The Lions came out strong in the opening set, with freshman Kailie Girard and senior Erin Stanley recording back-to-back kills to give Molloy a 2-0 lead.
- Pace pulled within three at 14-11, but the Lions responded with a seven-point run to take control. Freshman Peyton Douglas contributed a kill and three aces during the stretch, while Stanley added two kills as Molloy closed out the set, 25-16.
- Douglas opened the second set with a kill before Pace jumped out to a 4-1 lead.
- The cardinal and white faced a deficit of as many as five points before battling back to even the score. The set featured a total of 10 ties before back-to-back aces from senior Hayden Riddle helped Molloy take a 2-0 match lead with a 27-25 win.
- The Setters controlled th third set from start to finish. The Lions battled to within three points, but a 6-1 Pace run helped the visitors pull away. Pace out-hit the Lions .393 to .121.
- The fourth set featured another tightly contested battle, but momentum shifted towards Molloy following a 10-2 run that put the Lions just three points away from a victory.
- Two kills from Stanley and one from freshman Emma Kappaz down the stretch secured the 3-1 victory for the home team.
Top Performances
- Stanley led with a career-high 18 kills, and Girard followed with 12.
- Douglas recorded a career-high six aces and added four blocks
- Riddle matched a career-best five aces, while adding a double-double with 25 assists and 13 digs.
