Freshman Sharmeela Ugbogbo made a standout first impression this past weekend, collecting the league's Rookie of the Week in her first two games in Rockville Centre. Additionally, graduate student Julia Zalta and seniors Aria Miller and Rosa Rizzitelli were named to the Weekly Honor Roll.
 
Debuting in the cardinal and white, Ugbogbo opened her collegiate career with a double-double against Chestnut Hill, putting up 10 points and pulling down 11 rebounds to go with three blocks. The center followed up with seven points, eight rebounds, and two blocks against Jefferson. For the week, the Molloy freshman averaged 9.5 rebounds and 8.5 points per game, shooting 50.0 percent from the floor. 
 
Zalta averaged nearly five assists per set in a 1-1 week for the Lions. The graduate student reached double digits in both contests on the week, including 28 assists against Mercy to go with 12 digs for a double-double. She also totaled eight service aces on the week, averaging one per set, including five in a win over St. Thomas Aquinas College. Zalta's total stat line for the week included 39 assists, 15 digs, eight aces, nine kills, and four blocks. 
 
Miller totaled 40 digs in a 1-1 week for the Lions, averaging 5.0 per set. In a five-setter against Mercy, she led the team with 24 digs, topping 20 for the eighth time this season. The senior also added three aces and four assists on the week.
 
Rizzitelli averaged a double-double on the week with 16.5 points and 10.5 rebounds per game and added 10 assists and three steals. The senior just missed a triple-double to open the season against Chestnut Hill with 22 points, matching a career-high, to go with 11 rebounds and eight assists. She followed it up with a double-double against Jefferson with 11 points and 10 rebounds.
