Kansas City, MO. - Sophomore guard
Darren Fergus was selected to the All-District Second Team for the East Region by the National Association of Basketball Coaches, announced by the organization this afternoon. Fergus had previously been named to the D2CCA All-East Region First Team, and was also named the East Coast Conference Player of the Year.
The Freeport native ended the season ranked in the top-50 nationally in 12 statistical categories, including 24th in the nation in total points and 25th in total steals. Offensively, Fergus reached double digits in all 29 contests Molloy competed in, averaging 20.6 points per game to go along with 7.6 rebounds and 4.4 assists per contest. Along the way, the guard scored his 1000th career point against Daemen on January 27, accomplishing the feat in just 61 games.
