The Metropolitan Basketball Writers Association released the members of its 2025-2026 All-Metropolitan teams. Three members of Molloy's women's basketball were selected: seniors
Colleen McCullagh,
Sophia Yearwood, and
Rosa Rizzitelli, while junior
Bryce Merchant earned a spot from Molloy's men's basketball team. The selections will be recognized at the 93rd Haggerty Awards dinner on Thursday, April 23 at the Sleepy Hollow Hotel and Conference Center.
It is the first All-Met selection for all four student-athletes.
McCullagh led the way, earning a spot on the First Team. The senior was also recognized as a First Team selection from the East Coast Conference after a standout campaign that saw her average 19.3 point, 7.7 rebounds, and 1.2 assists per game while shooting at a .439 clip. Her numbers were good for 20th in Division II in total points and 21st in points per game while also ranking ninth in field goal attempts, 11th in made field goals, and 11th in minutes per game. Throughout the season she was recognized by the ECC for her standout performances in seven separate weeks.
Both Yearwood and Merchant earned Second Team selection. Yearwood was previously named All-ECC Second Team following a season that saw her average a career-best 14.3 points per game, shooting at .446 from the floor, .354 from long distance, and .932 from the foul line to go with 3.9 rebounds and 2.7 assists per game. A mainstay on the floor for the Lions, she also ranked in the top-20 in minutes per game, averaging over 36. Merchant was also named All-ECC Second Team this season, leading the team with 17.0 points per game while adding 7.0 rebounds per game. The junior shot over 50 percent from the floor and topped 20 points on nine occasions. Merchant was recognized by the ECC in five weeks during the course of the season for his performances.
Rounding out Molloy's selection was Rizzitelli as an Honorable Mention. She earned an ECC Third Team nod at the conclusion of the season, putting up 11.5 points per game, 7.4 rebounds per game, and a team-leading 5.2 assists per game. Her helper numbers ranked 11th in Division II for total assists and 12th in assists per game. Her 6.4 defensive rebounds per game were also good for 49th in D2.
