College Sports Communicators (CSC) recently announced the 2023 Academic All-District Volleyball team, awarded to student-athletes in recognition for their excellence both on the court and in the classroom.
Graduate student
Chye Davis, senior
Kiarra Roth, and sophomore
Aria Miller were given the honor from the Molloy women's volleyball team with both Davis and Roth advancing to the ballot for CSC Academic All-America consideration.
In order to be recognized as All-District, student-athletes must have earned at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average and participate in at least 90 percent of the institution's sets played.
Miller, a fine arts major from Mililani, Hawaii, appeared in 24 of Molloy's 28 contests and spent time as both an outside hitter and libero in 2023. She tallied 73 kills, 47 assists, 30 aces, 256 digs, and three blocks.
Roth, a childhood education major from Bohemia, N.Y. was a standout for the cardinal and white in 2023, earning All-Conference First Team from the East Coast Conference and a All-Region Honorable Mention from the American Volleyball Coaches Association. She ranked in the top-100 in Division II in attacks per set (10.01), kills per set (3.63), points per set (4.17), total attacks (1,001), and total kills (363).
Davis, a marketing major from Houston, Texas, was also tabbed All-ECC First Team in addition to a First-Team All-Region nod from the Division II Conference Comissioners Association. She led the ECC with 71 blocks and averaged nearly one block per set she appeared in.
