Women’s Bowling Earns Second-Place Finish at Seahawks Invite

Staten Island, N.Y. – The Molloy women's bowling team competed at the Seahawks Invite, hosted by Wagner College. After two days of action, the Keglers rolled to a second-place finish.
 
Day One - Traditional
  • Molloy opened Saturday afternoon against LIU, falling to the Sharks, 828-806.
  • The cardinal and white would then face the host school Wagner in match two, pulling out an 802-763 victory.
  • The Keglers would stay hot on the lanes in the third match, rolling to a 918-752 victory over Adelphi, highlighted by sophomore Ashley Hardy who collected a 218 game.
  • The Lions would rematch with the Panthers in game four, this time Adelphi would come out on top, 880-857, but reigning ECC Rookie of the Week Samantha Felice put together a 247 game performance in the defeat.
  • Molloy concluded day one with a loss against Wagner to finish 2-3 on the day.
Day Two – Baker
  • The Lions started day two against fighting tooth and nail against LIU, but fell short, 981-930.
  • Molloy would run off consecutive victories in games two and three. Taking down Adelphi, 909-768, and Wagner, 847-846.
  • The cardinal and white concluded day two with a pair of matches against LIU. The Lions topped the Sharks, 897-872 and 918-860 en route to its second-place finish.

Molloy will have two weeks to prepare for its next tournament, as they head to Maryland to compete at the CSU Lady Eagles invitational hosted by Coppin State Saturday, November 18.
