How it Happened
- Molloy started the afternoon off by taking the doubles point. Top flight of senior Noor Goyvaerts and junior Elena Baughman Saunders put up a 6-0 victory. The point was secured by a win at third doubles from junior Maggie Kutner and freshman Isabella Fortaleza, who pulled in front 7-5.
- In singles, Goyvaerts earned the Lions' first point with a 6-4, 6-2 victory at the second position. The Chargers earned victories at third and fourth singles, setting the score at 2-2.
- Caballero Abreu came out victorious at first singles, winning 6-3, 6-2 to give Molloy the edge.
- Kutner's 6-2, 6-4 win at fifth singles secured the match victory for the Lions.
- Fortaleza won her match at sixth singles to end the afternoon, 6-4, 6-0.
