Box Score Sparkill, N.Y. – The Molloy women's basketball team defeated the St. Thomas Aquinas Spartans, 73-69, in overtime Sunday afternoon at Aquinas Halls. The Lions improved to 11-8 overall and 8-4 in ECC play, while the Spartans fell to 8-13 overall and 7-5 in conference play.

• The Spartans tallied the first eight points of the contest.
• The Lions responded with an 11-3 run, led by six points from junior Cameron Corbett, to knot the score at 11.
• STAC led 16-15 at the end of the first frame.
• The home team outscored the maroon and white 11-6 in the second stanza and had a 27-21 advantage going into the half.
• Down 37-32, the Lions netted six consecutive points to take a 38-37 lead.
• The Spartans led 42-40 at the end of the 30 minutes of play.
• Freshman Janel Moore made a jump shot to put the maroon and white up 47-46 with 8:02 left.
• STAC scored the next six points to make it 52-47 with 6:26 remaining.
