Box Score Oceanside, N.Y. - The women's tennis team concluded the home portion of the 2022 schedule yesterday afternoon against Queens College, falling 7-0 at Point Set Tennis. Before the contest, the program recognized
Brooke Williams with a Senior Day celebration. Molloy now sits at 0-6 on the season and 0-2 in East Coast Conference play.
The tandem of Willams and
Amanda Oppedisano took two games in a 6-2 effort in third doubles before the second tandem of
Jill Cafaro and
Hannah Niggemeier also fell, 6-1, to give the deciding point to the Knights. Noor Goyvaert and
Camilla Caballero Abreu had a tight 6-4 decision at top doubles in the effort.
In singles play, Cafero dropped a close 6-4, 6-2 contest at third singles. Caballero Abreu(6-2, 6-0), Niggemeier (6-0, 6-3), and Williams (6-1, 6-0) all won games along the way.
The Lions return to the court on Friday at St. Thomas Aquinas College at 3:00 p.m.Â
