Box Score Sparkill, N.Y. - The women's tennis team entered the final two weeks of the regular season with a loss at Saint Thomas Aquinas, 6-1, at the Riley Family Tennis Courts yesterday afternoon. Molloy sits at 0-7 on the season (0-3 East Coast Conference) while STAC remained undefeated (6-0, 4-0 ECC). 

The Spartans took the doubles point despite tough efforts from the tandem of juniors Noor Goyvaerts and Camilla Caballero Abreu (6-2) and freshman Jill Cafaro and junior Hannah Niggemeier (6-3).

In singles play, Caballero Abreu accounted for Molloy's point of the afternoon. After dropping the first set (6-2), she respondd with a 7-5 victory to force an extra game, which she was able to win.

Goyvaerts, Cafaro, Niggemeier, and sophomore Amanda Oppedisano each won games along the way in the effort.

The Lions conclude the season next week on the road at Daemen on Friday (Oct. 21) at 7:00 p.m. and at D'Youville on Saturday (Oct. 22) at 1:00 p.m.
