Box Score Philadelphia, Pa. - The women's tennis team opened the 2021 campaign at Jefferson University, falling to the Rams, 7-0.

How it Happened

• The Rams took all three doubles contests to win the doubles point. Molloy's squad was led by top doubles tandem Julie Riedel and Hannah Niggemeier, who battled to a 6-3 loss.
• The tandems of Alyssa Baur and Kailey Chin as well as Briana Gonzalez and Gwen Kelly each fell, 6-1.
• Riedel took on Jefferson's top singles player and played to a 6-2, 6-2 defeat. 
• Baur also played a competitive match at second singles, falling 6-2, 6-1. 
• Molloy's top-four flights was rounded out by Chin (6-1, 6-2) and Gonzalez (6-0, 6-2).
• Brooke Williams and Amanda Oppedisano also made their collegiate debuts in singles play.
