Box Score Washington, DC - The Molloy's women's tennis team lost to the University of the District of Columbia Firebirds, 7-0, Saturday in D.C. The Lions fell to 1-4 on the season and 1-2 in conference play. The Firebirds improved to 4-0 overall and 3-0 in the conference.

How it Happened

● Doubles partners freshman Julie Riedel and sophomore Hannah Niggemeier lost 1-6. Partners junior Briana Gonzalez and freshman Brooke Williams were defeated 0-6, and lastly, doubles partners freshman Alyssa Baur and freshman Gwen Kelly lost 5-7.
● Riedel (2-6, 4-6), Alyssa Baur (4-6, 2-6), and freshmen Amanda Oppedisano (0-6, 0-6) all lost their matches.
● Sophomore Kailey Chin lost 1-6 and 0-6 in the third singles matchup.
● Gonzalez was defeated 0-6,1-6 in fifth singles.
