Newark, Del. - The women's bowling team returned to the lanes this weekend at the Wildcat Invitational, hosted by Wilmington University. The opening two days of the tournament featured five Baker games followed by five traditional games. On the weekend, the maroon and white went 6-4, with a total pinfall of 8,884 and an average of 177.7, headed into the bracket portion of the event in third-place.
Day One: Baker
- Molloy started the contest off against the #10 Griffins of Chestnut Hill, falling 988-901.
- The maroon and white responded by picking up two straight victories, topping Bloomfield, 816-778, and #7 Kutztown, 952-930.
- The opening day ended with losses to Felician, 882-861, and Mount Aloyisus, 927-875.
Day Two: Traditional
- Molloy went 4-1 in traditional competition to help the team finish in third-place in pool play.
- Senior Carly Licht threw a 178 in an 818-736 victory over #12 Medaille, the 11th victory over a nationally-ranked opponent of the season, breaking a single-season record for the program.
- Licht paced the maroon and white once again against Mercyhurt with 226 while junior Chrisite Warmingham added 224 en route to a 945-787 win.
- Senior Jenn Bisogno topped 200, knocking down 213 pins in an 896-671 effort over New Jersey City University.
- Against host Wilmington, the match came down to the last bowler, Licht, who tallied a 192-pin performance to seal a four-pin victory, 885-881.
- #8 Caldwell was able to top the Lions to close the afternoon, 950-935, despite 202 pins from sophomore Goldera Surles.
