Box Score East Meadow, N.Y. - The women's tennis team will return to the East Coast Conference Tournament for the fourth time in program-history, clinching the program's first berth since the 2012 season in a 4-3 victory over Roberts Wesleyan College. The victory put the Lions at 4-4 on the season and 2-2 in league play. The victory also extends Molloy's winning streak to three contests, also a first since 2012. How it Happened
- Molloy won at top doubles with junior Sarah Moehrlein and freshman Hannah Niggemeier earning a 6-1 victory. Unfortunately, the maroon and white were unable to pick up a victory at #2 or #3 doubles, handing the doubles point to the Redhawks.
- The tides turned after a regrouping before singles play, beginning with both Niggemeier (6-2, 6-0) and Moehrlein (6-3, 6-3) picking up their second wins of the day at #3 and #1 singles, respectively.
- Senior Montaine Le Goupil-Maier took a third point for the maroon and white, winning her #2 singles match 6-2, 6-3.
- The match was clinched at #5 singles as sophmore Briana Gonzalez won 7-5, 6-3.
