Rockville Centre, N.Y. - Head coach
Brendan Caputo announced the signing of Hannah Niggemeier of Sayville High School for the 2019 season.
With the Golden Flashes, Niggemeier competed on both the varsity tennis and golf teams for six seasons, earning All-County recognition each year. In addition, she was selected MVP a combined seven times between the two programs (four times with golf, three times with tennis) and captained the Sayville tennis team as both a junior and a senior.
Off the court, Niggemeier is highly active in her community, volunteering in the mother baby unit of Good Samaritan Hospital as well as serving as a bible school teacher at St. Lawrence. For her efforts, she has been given the Community Service Gold Award each of her six years at Sayville High School.
A member of the National Honor Society, Niggemeier plans on majoring in nursing at Molloy with the hopes of becoming a nurse practitioner.
"We are excited to have Hannah join our team next season," explained Coach Caputo. "I expect great things from her both on and off the court. She is the epitome of what the team already exemplifies through her commitment to community service, excellence in the classroom, and dedication to increasing her tennis IQ."
