Box Score Rockville Centre, N.Y. – The tennis team fell, 7-0, to the Clippers of Concordia College this afternoon at Hempstead Lake Indoor Tennis. Molloy fell to 0-2 on the season with the loss.
How it Happened
- In doubles competition, the tandem of juniors Montaine Le Goupil-Maier and Samantha Bloecker fell in the second flight, 6-3.
- Le Goupil-Maier fell in first singles, 6-2 and 6-3.
- Bloecker dropped her first game at fifth singles 6-0 before rallying to a tough 7-5 loss in the second game.
Coach's Comments
"The ladies competed so hard and fought for every point," said head coach
Brendan Caputo. "So many deciding points just went the other way today."
Looking Ahead
The team will compete in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) regional tournament in Flushing, N.Y. beginning Friday (Sept. 14).
